Pitch the Best Movie Possible
You and your friends are movie directors, and your job is to pitch and create movies for Nisdey, the biggest studio in Hollywood. However, you must create the best films using ideas thrown at you by the studio. Will your movie be loved and praised at awards shows, or will it crumble?
A Game of Imagination and Laughs
Pitch a Movie Before Time Runs Out!

Use Your Cards for the Best Story
The studio gave you some ideas for a story, and now you need to make a hit movie out of it. Use these ideas to make the best possible movie. Beware though, your friends are also directors under the same studio, and may chip in their own ideas, for better or worse…

Finish Before Time Runs Out
The studio is too busy counting up their dollar bills, and they want your pitch to be quick and snappy. Try your best to finish the story within the given time. The hourglass won’t be your friend, so act quick!

Vote for the Best Movies
Once the movies are finished, it’s already award season! See how well your movie did in the four categories: Best protagonist, best setting, most likely to pirate online (because it’s a good movie), and best overall. You will also be in the voting process, so keep you eyes and ears out for your friend’s stories.
What Players Say:
Movie Mayhem is unlike any other game I’ve played in this class so far, as, rather than having lots of complex mechanics, this game has just a few simple core mechanics that build the game in such a way that the players themselves actually end up being more of a core part of the game play than the actual game itself.
― Ryan H.
The interactivity of the game is what makes it ridiculously fun to play with a small group of friends. A player on the sidelines tosses a ‘The Desert’ card into the mix, and suddenly a tale about a Thieves Guild goes off the rails, with another player humming a made-up soundtrack in the background, and the storyteller suddenly fitting the rest of their hand in to make a story of wealth and danger.
― Lexie M.
